Physical Training
APFT: Physical training and conditioning are areas of great emphasis in the U.S. Army. You will participate in a structured physical training program five days per week to help you attain and maintain the Army's requirements for physical conditioning. Additionally you will be required to own the Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU) for physical training sessions. The new Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU) must be worn at FOBQ. An orange reflective belt is required as a component of the APFU. It
is available from Clothing & Sales for approximately $5.00.
On the reflective belt will be your subdued rank insignia 1"
from the buckle (to be worn on the right hand side).
Weight Standards: You must meet the height and weight standards in accordance with AR 600-9, Army Weight Control Program, to be enrolled in the course. Should you not meet these requirements
upon initial screening you will not be enrolled in FOBQ. It is your responsibility to identify your needs
prior to arrival at Ft Jackson and seek assistance as necessary.
