Commandant's Welcome
Office of the Commandant
Dear Fellow Financial Management Officers:
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Fort Jackson, and to congratulate you on your selection for attendance at one of our officer development courses.
On this website you will find the information you need to prepare yourself for the rewarding experience that awaits you. We have attempted to anticipate the questions that you may have. If you need additional information, feel free to contact the class advisors.
As you probably know, Fort Jackson is the home of the Finance Corps and the Soldier Support Institute (SSI). We are proud of the positive environment and development opportunities that we offer to both students and permanently assigned soldiers. I encourage all soldiers to take each opportunity to develop themselves to their fullest potential while at Fort Jackson. To fully seize this educational opportunity you must arrive fully prepared.
Coming fully prepared means arriving in compliance with the Army's weight standards, and in physical condition to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). If you cannot pass the APFT or meet the Army's height and weight standards upon completion of this course, you will not graduate.
Coming fully prepared also means arriving with a positive attitude, prepared to meet the challenge that you are about to undertake. Although all of our courses are challenging, you will also find them rewarding professionally and personally. Come prepared to learn and win!
Again, welcome and congratulations!
Sincerely,
Financial Management School Commandant |
